Portland Art Museum exhibit features disability rights advocates

“Hopefully this will inspire other people with disabilities to not let life’s barriers prevent them from reaching their goals.” – Joseph Lowe

Igniting Voices

The Portland Art Museum will share the life and work of five social justice activists and advocates in a new exhibit called Igniting Voices.

The exhibition will feature the stories of one of our past clients, Joseph Lowe, and one of our attorneys, Matthew Denney.

The museum is hoping the exhibition will inspire visitors to explore barriers in our society that keep people of color, immigrant and refugee, low-income, women and transgender people, and people with disabilities marginalized.

You’ll be able to view different objects that help tell a person’s story and then listen to recordings of those personal stories.

Come watch and listen.
