Disability Rights Oregon works to ensure full participation in the electoral process including registering to vote and casting a ballot. In partnership with the Secretary of State, we produce a nonpartisan Easy Voting Guide, and do year-round training, outreach and advocacy on behalf of voters and prospective voters with disabilities.
DRO receives funding from Protection & Advocacy for Voting Access (PAVA) (42 U.S.C. § 15461-62, P.L. 107-252). PAVA is administered by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Administration on Developmental Disabilities.
We publish an Easy Voting Guide in partnership with the Secretary of State Elections Division for May and November federal elections (even-numbered years). The Easy Voting Guide is accessible, with large print, high contrast, graphic icons, and an online version.
